Emergengy First Response

Emergency First Response

The Emergency First Response course (EFR) is a pre requisite to complete the PADI Rescue Diver course. EFR is one of the best CPR and first aid training companies in the world. The EFR course consists of two parts: primary and secondary care.

This one-day course gives you the confidence to help in medical emergencies. It teaches simple steps for emergency care and gives students a chance to practise in a safe environment. All courses come with study guides, videos and quick reference cards. EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings.

What Will You Learn?

  • Primary Care (CPR): This part of the course teaches you how to handle life-threatening emergencies. You will practice essential skills for aiding patients. You will learn how to perform CPR and continue to monitor the patient, giving you the tools you need to provide every possible chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.
  • Secondary Care (First Aid): Many medical conditions are not life-threatening, and emergency medical services are sometimes delayed or unavailable. This part teaches you how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm. You will learn to assess various injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting.
  • Care for Children: This part teaches you how to care for infants and children in medical emergencies. It is designed for anyone who works with children or is likely to have to respond to emergencies involving youngsters.
  • CPR & AED: This part provides comprehensive CPR training and equips participants with the skills to effectively use an AED (automated external defibrillator).
  • First Aid at Work: In some areas, government regulations require enhanced CPR and first aid training in the workplace. First Aid at Work programmes designed for these areas include additional topics and skills to meet requirements while following the easy-to-learn EFR approach to training.
  • EFR Refresher: You should refresh your CPR and first aid skills every 24 months. The EFR Refresher course is designed for that purpose. The course focuses on critical skills, ensuring you are always up-to-date and ready to provide aid.
