Why Choose to do your PADI Diving Course in Bali
PADI is the world’s largest recreational diving membership and diver training organisation. Founded in 1966 by John Cronin and Ralph Erickson, PADI’s mission was to simplify and broaden access to dive training. With this goal in mind, they offer a wide range of courses, making it easy for anyone to find the right fit for their diving journey.
PADI courses range from minimal entry-level to relatively advanced recreational certifications, including specialised skills training for specific equipment or conditions. Additionally, there are informational courses and various recreational diving instructor certifications. PADI also offers a range of technical diving courses under the PADI TecRec brand. PADI’s sister company, Emergency First Response Corp, provides a comprehensive range of first aid and CPR programmes.
PADI courses are performance-based diver training programmes designed to equip learners with the practical knowledge, safety skills and motor abilities required at the introductory level. The fundamentals of diving physics and physiology are introduced during the introductory programmes.
The PADI training system is provided in modules with clearly defined learning objectives, divided into theory and practical skill development. Each module is a standalone course, with certification provided to the participant upon successful completion. The theory is conveyed through self-study using books and computer-based training using CD-ROM or online learning. A scuba instructor will confirm the student diver’s level of mastery. The instructor employs a combination of written examinations and live observation during actual dives to assess the student’s knowledge and skills.
